2. What size tires will the machines cut?

Most tire sizes can be processed with our equipment. Our car and light-truck tire equipment process the smaller sized tires that do NOT have steel in the sidewalls, while our truck tire equipment handles the larger truck tires that DO have steel in their sidewalls. Please refer to our product pages to see each machine’s performance and range of tire sizes they can accept.

3. What is the warranty?

We offer a 6 month standard warranty on all our equipment. Details of our warranty is outlined in every manual, it essentially covers manufacturing defects. Improper use or maintainance is not covered under warranty. Machines no longer under warranty can be serviced by EECO or qualified mechanics.

Back To Questions

4. What are the machines' production rates?

The production rate of each machine varies slightly but machines that are designed to be used in sequence are timed to each other as best we can. Our car and light truck tire equipment process tires at a faster rate than our Truck Tire Sidewall Remover. This is due to the toughness of truck tires and the amount of steel that must be cut in order to remove the sidewalls. Please refer to our product pages to see each machine’s performance.

Back To Questions

5. What is the horsepower for each machine?

All of our machines use electric motors for their operation. The car and light truck tire equipment use 1 - 2 HP motors while our truck tire equipment use at one or more 5HP motors.

Back To Questions

6. What are the electrical needs for the machines?

All of our car and light-truck tire equipment run off of 110VAC. Our truck tire equipment only come equipped to run off 220VAC power. Although the car and light- truck tire machines come standard for 110VAC, we can outfit them for 220VAC operation. An added charge will apply for 220V requests on the car and light truck tire machines as the motor itself is more expensive.

Back To Questions

7. Do the machines come ready to run?

All our machines come at least 99% built when they arrive at your location. The car and light-truck tire Sidewall Remover requires a handle to be attached with just 1 bolt. All of our machines that come wired for 220VAC do not have a plug on the power cord. This is because there are several "standard" 220VAC plugs that vary by location. All plugs can be found at a local hardware store and take a couple minutes to install.

Back To Questions

8. Can the machines run on 50HZ?

Yes. All of our machines can be equipped with 50HZ motors, added charges will apply for the difference in price of the motors.

10. What can I do with the end products?

Our equipment can be used for many purposes. Treads can be used for making mats when cut to lay flat with our Tread Cutters. Treads with their sidewalls removed can be used as construction-cylinders for foundations in roads and buildings. Sidewalls can be used for weights on tarps for cattle feed. When extracted, the steel bead wires can be sold to steel recyclers. In addition to products from the pieces of tire, our equipment is used to reduce volume (by at least 50% of original tire size) to reduce transportation costs, and for pre-processing prior to shredding. Some companies who use the tire pieces for their products include:

11. What is the shipping time?

Typically for any shipment within the continental US the shipping time is no more than 4 or 5 business days. International shipments can take up to 4 weeks by way of ocean freight. Sometimes a machine can be held at the exit port waiting for an available container to be shipped in. Keep in mind that the shipping time will generally be in addition to fabrication time as we often have a queue.

Sí, We have manuals in English and Español.

16. What maintenance is required for the machines?

The maintenance for each machine is very low. All of our machines have drive systems that can include gear boxes, chains, or belts. These items need to be properly maintained to ensure lasting functionality. On some of our equipment there are grease points for pivoting items. The instruction manuals detail all maintenance schedules for each machine.

17. Where can I get replacement parts?

We are proud to incorporate many standard or “off the shelf” parts into the design and operation of our machines. This enables our customers to get many parts at local stores so that down time on the machine is minimal during repairs. Incorporating standard parts also makes for more affordable repairs. Some parts are only available through EECO and can be found here on our website.

Back To Questions

18. What are the operating costs of each machine?

Aside from the electricity draw to power the machine the only other factor is blade life. Our car and light-truck Sidewall Remover uses standard heavy-duty utility knife blades. These blades last for hundreds of tires and cost about $30 for a box of 100 blades. Our Tread Cutters and Truck Tire Sidewall Remover have special hardened blades of our own proprietary design. Our Tread Cutters have blades that last for 10’s of thousands of cuts and range from $125 to $175 per blade. Our Truck Tire Sidewall Remover has a blade life of 3,000 tires and cost $100 per blade.

Back To Questions

19. Do I need any supporting equipment for the machines?

Some of our machines need a supply of compressed air to operate their pneumatic systems.
  • DeBeader 110psi (7bar) at 5cfm (142L/m)
  • Truck Tire Sidewall Remover 120psi (~8 bar) at 5CFM (142L/m)
We recommend an in-line filter and dryer so that only clean, dry air is processed through the pneumatic components on the machine.

Back To Questions
